Community Environmental Projects For Large and Small Companies or Other Interested Groups Woodland Resource can plan, implement and provide maintenance for community environmental projects, for companies and other groups that would like to actively show their commitment to taking care of the local environment. What is an Environmental Project ? An environmental project could be as small as a company natural garden or as large as the ecological restoration of a degraded site in the community. The project usually involves the planting of native wildflower, shrub and tree species and an ongoing maintenance program. The addition of pathways, cavity snags, den logs and other site improvements could also be included in the project. Who can get involved ? Small and large companies, schools, clubs, municipalities, local citizen groups and other interested parties can get involved in a community environmental project. What are the benefits to a company ? For a company, the annual staff picnic can be replaced by a project that enables the employee's to feel good about their company and community. The employee has a day off in the outdoors, a great educational opportunity, a chance to work as a team, exercise and new experiences. Concrete environmental improvements is the goal for each project.
